My wife said it felt like we would be living out in the woods when we looked at one of the many houses we were going to have to choose from to get out of our apartment. The real estate agent had us stop by to look at it. The house was not at all what we were looking for. Or so we thought at first. We had been looking into getting something in the suburbs not a rural area. The agent told us there was no cable so we would could go with Direct TV like the previous owner had.
We begrudgingly went into the house to look at it. We were floored! I mean our jaws dropped. Sure, it looked great on the outside, but the inside was even more fabulous. It had everything you could want in a place from space to eco-friendliness and technology. There were 50 acres included with most of it old growth forest. We knew we could not afford it. Or so we thought! The owner was highly motivated to sell fast. It was inherited by city living children of a rather reclusive couple.
We never considered rural living, but this place was so nice. We never regretted a moment signing on the dotted line for the mortgage. We have been happy here now for many years. I thought I could not go without my cable, but the Direct TV is actually superior to the cable I used to have. The picture is perfect, HD channels are not a problem and neither are local channels. We have every bit of tech we were looking for in a house in the suburbs with even more ecologically friendly options such as solar power generation and geothermal heat. This place really has it all. It is worth far more than we paid for it. The entertainment room with the giant screen television connected to Direct TV is bigger than our old apartment!
